Scented Candle & Beanie Hat

I had a lovely scented candle which I wanted to decorate. I got the pattern from Lulu Loves Blog, it was really easy to follow and I love the metal butterfly.

I also made this lovely slouchy beanie hat from a blog called Moogly. I used merino aran wool in teal and it is so snuggly and soft. A friend asked me to make her one so I hope she likes it

The braiding in the middle is lovely and really easy to do.
Hope you like my latest makes

Crocheted Purse

I managed to make this purse. The pattern is from Loobyloops on Facebook, she has clear instructions on how to crochet the purse and how to line the inside. I used Drops Cotton Light in grey and I got the clasps from China on Ebay. I am pleased with how it turned out.
Also today I ordered the Coast Pack from Attic 24 on Wool Warehouse to keep me occupied during the winter, I'm so excited about doing this especially as all the colours are worked for you.

This is the purse

And this is the inside

What do you think?

Saturday 16 August 2014

Today we went for a short walk in TempleWater at Castleward. I can't manage long walks so this was just a dander around. Hubby took some photos

Love the way these trees arch over

It was lovely to get out for a bit and it didn't rain.

Thursday 14 August 2014

This is my first post, hopefully one of many to come. I'm a bit nervous about blogging as I don't think it will make good reading. I lead a very quiet life due to being unwell and I'm hoping crochet will fill a void for me. I have started Aloysius the African Flower Owlet and have managed to choose the colours and done a few of the pentagons. Will keep you posted as I go along
